I Bake my cakes from scratch in my registered kitchen. My Ingredients are always fresh and free range/organic where appropriate, luxurious continental Chocolate and the finest quality of produce is standard. I do not use mixes like some companies and every cake is made from scratch to order ~ Ensuring my cakes taste as enticing as they look.
To create a high standard smooth finish, I believe the best method is to 'ganache' my cakes before covering with the fondant icing. This is a more expensive method of decorating, however I believe the extra cost speaks for itself, with no bulging and straight sides! the finish is worth paying for. Therefore most cakes (some exceptions depending on design) will have a chocolate ganache coating under the icing. All my celebration cakes have 3 layers, ensuring a good cake depth (higher in certain designs) I do not produce small flat looking cakes.
I can accommodate most budgets but it is important to remember that many complex cakes can be 30 plus hours of work and even the simplest cake will still be 5 to10 hours work from start to final design finish. And, of course, quality ingredients will always be worth more.

I am running a Business , I offer high quality cakes, all baked from scratch & creating unique designs.
An 8" round celebration ganached cake costs me £32+ to produce and at least 4 hours work, to get it to a plain iced finish, this is before any final decoration has taken place!
An average design needs at least another
4 hours to get to the final finish. More complex designs can be 30 plus hours.
~ Knowing this, You can see why my cakes are
priced as they are.
All sculpted cakes take considerably longer
from start to final design finsh and it is important to remember the cost in Sculpted cakes is in the time it takes to design/produce and not in portion size.
A really complex sculpted cake to make could also be a small cake.
